Cookies.

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Here's exactly which ones this site uses, what they're for, and how to say no.

The short version

  • Some cookies keep the site working. Logging in, checking out safely, keeping the pages loading. These are always on.
  • Google Analytics only runs if you say yes. It tells me how people find the site and which pages they read. I don't use advertising cookies, I don't run ads that follow you around, and I don't sell your data.
  • You can change your mind any time with the button at the bottom of this page.

ELEA is run by Alex Darby, a sole trader trading as ELEA, Llwyn-y-Pia Road, Cardiff CF14 0TX. The site runs on Kajabi.

Cookies that keep the site working

The site can't work properly without these, so the law doesn't need your consent for them. You can block them in your browser, but logging in and checkout may break.

Analytics, only if you say yes

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets these cookies. If you click No thanks, it doesn't. IP addresses are anonymised.

Google processes this data on my behalf. You can read how in Google's own explanation.

Set by the platforms the site runs on

Kajabi, which hosts this site, and Wistia, which plays the videos, use their own cookies and browser storage to run their services and measure how they're used.

These are controlled by Kajabi and Wistia, not me. Their policies: Kajabi and Wistia.

No cookies, but worth knowing: the site loads fonts from Google Fonts and Font Awesome. They don't set cookies, but your browser does share your IP address with them so the fonts can load.

Leaving the site: the questionnaire after you buy is on Typeform, and links to Instagram and Substack go to their sites. They have their own cookie policies.

Controlling cookies yourself

Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies in its settings. Search "clear cookies" plus your browser's name (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) for the steps. You can also stop Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out add-on.

Change your mind

Said yes and want to say no, or the other way round? Press the button and the cookie banner will appear again so you can choose. If you switch analytics off, delete the _ga cookies in your browser settings to clear what's already there.

Questions

Email [email protected] and I'll answer. If you're not happy with how your data is handled, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

I'll update this page if the site starts using anything new. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. For everything you buy, see the Terms & Conditions.
