Privacy & cookies.
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Here’s what this site uses, what it’s for, and how to say no.
The short version
- Some cookies keep the site working. Checking out safely, keeping the pages loading. These are always on.
- Analytics only runs if you say yes. It tells me how people find the site and which pages they read. I don’t use advertising cookies, I don’t run ads that follow you around, and I don’t sell your data.
- You can change your mind any time from the cookie banner.
ELEA is run by Alex Darby, a sole trader trading as ELEA, Llwyn-y-Pia Road, Cardiff CF14 0TX. The site runs on Squarespace.
Cookies that keep the site working
The site can’t work properly without these, so the law doesn’t need your consent for them. You can block them in your browser, but checkout may break.
| Set by | What it does |
|---|---|
| Squarespace | Runs the site, keeps it secure and remembers your cookie choice. Squarespace publishes the full list of its cookies in its Help Center. |
| Stripe | Fraud prevention when you pay. |
Analytics, only if you say yes
If you accept analytics on the cookie banner, Squarespace’s own analytics records anonymous visits so I can see which pages people read. If you say no, it doesn’t.
Leaving the site
The questionnaire after you buy is on Typeform. Emails come from Flodesk. Links to Instagram and Substack go to their sites. They each have their own privacy and cookie policies.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. They don’t set cookies, but your browser does share your IP address with Google so the fonts can load.
Controlling cookies yourself
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies in its settings. Search “clear cookies” plus your browser’s name (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) for the steps.

I’ll update this page if the site starts using anything new. For everything you buy, see the Terms & Conditions.
